I’m in a quiet, contemplative mood - completely lost in thought. There are times when it’s a necessary progression (in order to figure things out) but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. It might help to have something to take along the (introspective) way. I think I'll *bake*.
I'm feeling...
something that doesn’t take me too far away from my thoughts,
something that’s not too challenging to make,
something with a delicate scent,
something that’s cooling but sweetly so...

With this tea, you think you know what [taste] to expect; tart (cranberry) and earthy (ginger) with a little sweet (raspberry) only to find a subtle floral (rose) taste at the end. Thus, a perfect example of the activity going on in my head today.

Prep time: 10 minutes, Rest time: 2 hours, *Chill time: 2 hours (*not required)
Makes 6 servings
Ingredients
  • 3 inch (45 g) fresh ginger, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 3 cups water
  • 3 cups cranberry raspberry juice
  • 3 tsp rose water
Instructions
I’m ready.
Heat the ginger and water on the stove over medium heat and bring to a boil. Once it’s boiled, turn off the heat and let it steep for 2 hours.
Strain the ginger from the water and let the water to cool to room temperature. Discard the ginger.
Add the cranberry raspberry juice to the ginger-infused water. Stir in the rose water.
Let the tea chill in the fridge for 2 hours or pour the tea over a glass filled with ice and enjoy it right away.
This tea is enchanting, intriguing and bright- it’s ideal company during this [mental] reckoning...
